The annual event’s second edition in Los Cabos took place on March 30th in front of thousands who cheered their favorite athletes among the 1,200 in the most demanding sports competition we have ever witnessed.
The morning started with 2.4 miles of swimming at Palmilla Beach, followed by 112 miles of cycling on a route ending in Downtown San José del Cabo, right in front of the City Hall, and ending with a three-lap 14 km tour for a total of 26.2 miles.
The first Ironman to make it to the goal was Daniel Fontana from Italy, followed by Linsey Corbin from the USA. The first mexicans to make it were Sergio Quezada (9:54:24) and Allan Villanueva (10:14:29).
This is the kind of event that can cheer up an entire town. In our case, we are fortunate to host every athlete as well as every supporter that may come from a different state, country or continent. Los Cabos will proudly be the host again on October 25th, 2015!
