Cabo Magazine

Mexico’s first Temakería opened on saturday, November 30th in Cabo San Lucas. The concept is new to many and was picked up by Sushi Kono’s owner and operator Thamara Hernández, in a trip to Brazil. The moment she saw the cones, she knew she had to bring them to Mexico.

And so, after years of planning and figuring out a funding strategy, Sushi Kono opened its doors right next to Cabo Blue and nearby Happy Ending. People stopped by to sample the very friendly priced menu and many took full cones with them.

While temaki is very similar to sushi, you can eat it with one hand and walk out with it, that means you can also eat it on the beach, boat; anywhere, without being tied up to a table. It works for me!

Sushi Kono closes on mondays. You should try them out!
